Question and Answer,
dahanese has taken to the forum answering a set of questions, because of the number it deserves its own page.
Unless the challenger exists in the real world, they didn't add it and don't plan on adding it. They said that the challenger colours available are only the colours that exist on the real car.

There is no hornet yellow on that list, but there are a few we don't have and we may see in the future
Arsenic speaks the truth. Although a yellow Challenger would be amazing, in game or in real life!
We actually trimmed 15 minutes off both RIFT and Defiance to show Trove and for the next couple weeks we're going to keep that same schedule. We don't want the live streams to become epic marathons but want to make sure that we give a good chunk of time to the games that need it. And we're not just spending a week fixing the game - we're finalizing Arkbreaker in tandem with the continuous quality of life changes we've been rolling out!
not something you'll see in the short to medium term - there are some technical hurdles as well as some interesting problems that could occur with griefing. It's a good one, though, because we really, really like sieges and death marches.
Yep! We are on track to hit all five of them in the first year.
Yeah, we will have pursuits. They won't be identical to the first time around - but they will be there!
We're keeping this a bit close to the chest right now but there will be content - it's not coming with Arkbreaker DLC, though (so there's a timeframe at least - after that).
There will be more Von Bach. That's all I'm going to say now because we're being secretive about story stuff.
Soon. I'm not giving a date yet because we have an issue to fix before releasing it and I hate giving dates till it's all good to go. I don't like missing them.
Yes, you'll be getting everything (I swear we answered this one last live stream because I remember typing this :P) and you are going to get more info in the next couple weeks.
Not with Arkbreaker but it's something we are actively working on. (You will be getting story missions as coop even sooner, which is really awesome and I can't wait to talk more about that. I'm working on it right after I post this, actually!)
We've created a bunch of new weapons for Arkbreaker and have even more planned for DLC3 - they won't be exactly the ones you saw before but in our (completely non-biased of course) opinions, they're even better than those prototypes.
We've talked about adding a melee skill system and updating the EGO grid and that will be coming in the future - that's all the details we're giving out right now.
That's not a true statement. We're focusing on the current generation.Since I'm the one who gives out these statements, I can safely say this wasn't a direct quote so I'll figure out where the miscommunication happened.
Midori - We're still committed to *all* platforms of the game. Right now we're only on 360, PS3, and PC and are talking about those platforms (which is to say we don't have anything to say about the new generation one way or the other!) But we are still working on all those platforms and the fixes and DLCs are headed to all of them. That's what our goal is right now.
Chris Lena EP
Out of respect for employees and their privacy we don't usually go into detail on this stuff, but since Chris was a very public face for the game I understand wanting an update and I can say that he is no longer with Trion. He's an awesome guy and everyone here wishes him the best. I know I'll miss being able to go to amazing Mexican with him.
To get into semantics, we actually don't have that title anywhere in the company. Does that mean the *job* isn't being done? Not at all. We have leads on every game.
Team
We still have a full team working on Defiance. I'm going to be the day-to-day person that talks to you (I'm sure this isn't a big surprise!) but I talk to our programmers, producers, creative folk, development folk - all of them. Trick is and will continue to be the main point person directly from the dev team, as well, and has been the creative lead on the project.
You'll also see some of the team posting on the forums, but that's not nearly as regularly - mostly they read and reach out to show off stuff or, more often, ask questions if they want to do it directly and not through the community team.
You asked important questions, though, so I want to be super clear on the answers.
1. Is anyone in charge? Yes. We have a team 100% dedicated to Defiance and only Defiance.
2. Are they distracted by other projects? No. They have their hands full with this game.
3. Are they distracted by RIFT? No! Totally different games.
4. Why the heck do blogs mention RIFT? That's a change on my part. We're doing far more behind-the-scenes development pieces. I can tell you our data guys (this week's blog) do cross games. I want to write about everything we do, and in terms of data, that benefits all games. We can talk more about that in a different place, but that's not a dev change - just one from me!
5. Improved communication?! I would love to hear specifics about what you'd like to see more of. There are questions that are outstanding and only time will solve that (mostly because we're still working on the game) but I am always working to make things better with the community. I think we've done a great job so far so I want to keep that conversation going.
Yes, you have the exact nature of it: someone's in charge, and that person is Trick. He's not the only guy steering the ship, but he's our lead.
Customer service is a different department entirely - we're working on improving the game and if something ever happens with customer service that doesn't make sense, send me a PM and explain (include the ticket number!) and I can help.
We've changed a lot of things about how we work to make it far more efficient and productive but I completely understand skepticism and know that the best way to convince people is to just do it and give you fun stuff to play.
Back to customer service: we can work on the Known Issues post. I want to make sure we do anything like this right - and having it be outdated due to missing something is a high likelihood, so unless we can make it a source of happiness rather than frustration, I want to keep searching for a better way.
Thanks to the OP for pinging me about this. We're constantly working on improvements and server stability in general, but I wanted you to know that this has been passed on to the team for them to look at. If there's any way you can send video or any other information to show us how to replicate, that would be awesome so we can try and further pinpoint any problem! Feel free to PM it to me.
Hey - I checked in with the team on this one. Loot hasn't been changed at all, definitely not due to Steam.
It's a good idea and one we are pursuing - we've given away lock boxes before and can do more of that in the future. We also give away DLC on the consoles. Basically, things are a bit more difficult to give away on the consoles than on PC, which is why we are more limited and these are the only two things we've done thus far. We love giving stuff away, we just have to make it plausible for all platforms so it's fair!
we've looked at a lot of the suggestions (I'm loathe to say all in case we missed some) and as of now, we're not going to reroll and I don't see this changing. We definitely would if it made sense, we would make sure we made things better and not worse, and we could be sure that the amount of time and work put into that would better serve you guys beyond doing something else - like making new and better stuff.
