Defiance Data is Back Online

What We've Been Up To

Over the past two weeks, ever since Fawkes announced Defiance was coming back, we've been hard at work getting the site back online. Here's a quick rundown of what we've had to do.

Set up a new hosting environment - we're running this alongside trovesaurus.com for now
Reupload the databases and files
Get the account system working again
Did a refresh of the style
Added new tools

What's New

It's been over 12 years since we launched the site, we've got a new set of tricks to offer you:

EGO Grid Calculator - Plan your build by selecting your ability and perks from the EGO Grid and share through URL
Interactive Map - Zoom and scroll through a map of Defiance

What's Next

Verify and store game data with the current state of the game
Work alongside Fawkes in presenting information to you
Finish the redesigned Loadout system to accept the new fields

A Quick Thanks

A big thank you to our resident artist TFMHisztike who has been coming up with the new graphical style for us. Also for those who have been working with me on updating information and hunting weapon cards.

Taking a Breather

The game is releasing tomorrow morning, so we're going to take the weekend off and play it without worrying about the site. We'll resume work once we've satisfied our craving for killing hellbugs.
