Following on from the Steam Summer Sale, Defiance has reduced its price even lower on Steam.
It's a tricky issue, on one hand we will have more players in the game, on the other hand early adopters and full price people feel cheated.
In a post on the Defiance Community site announcing this pricing change they make the point that it will allow more people to experience the game just before the DLC lands.
Although I am glad there are more players (and I have noticed this), a lot of the community are pretty annoyed at the rate of the price drop. The Steam Summer Sale was acceptable, but then the price after it went even lower.
Some people paid quite a lot only a few months ago, even more for the digital deluxe editions which are also reduced. Solution? I'd go with a across the board bit rewards for people who paid full prices based on the date they bought the game.
Feedback
There has been a large amount of negative feedback over the changes but also people that are fine with it.
