Friday Dev Livestream (August 16, 2013)

Friday August 16, 2013 the Defiance Dev team streamed a Q&A session on their Twitch channel.

Dahanese was joined by OverloadUT with an appearance from Scott Hartsman. Not a lot of questions were answered in this stream, a new questions and overviews were given.

Overview

Last Friday they announced the Alpha Test Server, it is not a 24/7 server, it has been up for a while and it has been taken down. They will announce it when it is back up.

DLC #1 the Casithan Charge Pack is dropping August 20. On PS3 EU it will arrive the 21st.

They are working on the PC crash issue.

In an appearance from Scott Hartsman who answered some questions, he stated that the company changes were about re-structuring in order to keep making money and making games. Improving the game for the players and trying to avoid cutting events instead of people.

Is there a time limit on the free respec token with the DLC?

You can use it whenever you want, it isn't time limited.

Do you need DLC in order to duel?

Yes

Where did the hellbug helmet come from?

With some game purchases you were meant to get a hellbug cap, some people didn't receive them and had to contact support. Some people were incorrectly given the hellbug helmet instead of the cap by the support team. They will be able to keep those items.
